The 2006 Laurent-Perrier Pink Party was hosted by David Hesketh MW, Managing Director of Laurent-Perrier UK, at sketch, 9 Conduit Street, London, W1S 2XG on Wednesday April 26th at 8pm. The annual fundraiser was in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC) this year. *
Guests: celebrities attending the Pink Party included: Sophie Anderton, Louise Redknapp, Meg Matthews, Ralf Little, Kirsty Gallagher, Jessica and Michelle Heaton, Liberty X, Andy Scott Lee, Richard Jones from Stereophonics, Amy Nuttall, Hannah Sandling, Rick Parfitt Jnr, Holly & Sam Branson, Cynthia Conran, Richard E Grant, Calum Best, Oscar Humphries, Jackson Scott, Lord Frederick Windsor, Jasmine Guinness and more …
Music: top celebrity DJs Sammy Jo (Scissor Sisters’ Tour DJ) and DJ TEXXX (NYC) provided the tunes to set the scene for the most outrageously glam Pink Party yet. Guests, dressed in pink, sipped Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Brut Champagne, renowned for its exquisite, definitive and distinctive style, not to mention its distinctive pink colour.
Charity: as the highlight of London’s party scene, this year’s Pink Party supported GOSHCC - a national charity that fundraises to treat children with rare, serious and often life-threatening conditions. Guests raised money for GOSHCC by planting a kiss on a postcard designed especially for stila’s Kiss It Better campaign. The postcards already freshly ‘kissed’ in the name of charity, by the likes of Cate Blanchette and Keira Knightley. Proceeds (£5 for each card returned) will go towards Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
sketch: Laurent-Perrier’s ever-increasing association with contemporary art brought this year’s Pink Party to London’s hottest and most sublime venue, sketch. This unique space, renowned for innovative food, art and music has been frequented by London’s gliteratti since its conception by Mourad 'Momo' Mazouz. The Pink Party took over two expansive floors of the converted 18th century building in Mayfair.
Canapés: selection of imaginative canapés served, including "Petit Epautre" Risotto and Parmesan, Diced Cube of Red Tuna and Tandoori Marshmallow, Red Foie Gras and Cannelloni filled with Green Cabbage, smoked salmon and cod all carefully prepared by the lauded executive chef at sketch, Pascal Sanchez and Consultant Master Chef Pierre Gagnaire.
The Cuckoo Club: After the party, selected guests were invited to attend The Cuckoo Club.
