THE ART OF CHAMPAGNE

The chemistry between art and Champagne continues, as Laurent-Perrier continues to support London’s diverse and dynamic modern and contemporary art scene this year.

The vibrant world of contemporary art has become a major arena for Laurent-Perrier’s prestige cuvée - the Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle.

Laurent-Perrier commences the art season this Autumn as the Official Champagne of Frieze Art Fair (12-15 October 2006). Lauded by the press as “the most important contemporary art event in Europe”*, this once again places Laurent-Perrier at the centre of London’s liveliest and most cutting edge art market.

Laurent-Perrier donates funds to the Outset Contemporary Art Fund - an independent organisation uniting artists and cultural enthusiasts in the shared mission of supporting new art which is responsible for establishing the The Frieze Art Fair Special Acquisitions Fund. This enables the Tate Gallery to acquire major works from Frieze Art Fair, via private and corporate donors such as Laurent-Perrier.

In the run up to Frieze (10 October), Laurent-Perrier will also support parties hosted by Haunch of Venison and White Cube opening at Mason’s Yard as well as the Quintessentially party at Victoria Miro Gallery, where Conrad Shawcross will be exhibiting. Laurent-Perrier will also support Sotheby’s beyond limits exhibition (8 September – 27 October) of modern and contemporary sculpture, and private art dinners at Chatsworth House.

Laurent-Perrier has already supported other high-profile art events this year as Official Champagne of The Tate Gallery (at the Bill Fontana and Kandinsky opening receptions in June), The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview (7 June), and the celebrated Serpentine Gallery Summer Party (11 July).

For 2007 Laurent-Perrier deepens its relationship with private and commercial galleries, with The London Art Fair in January 2007.

The elegant and prestigious Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Champagne, in its curvaceous black-labelled bottle, represents the pinnacle of champagne blending, calling on wines from the finest growths and the very best vintages - an art in itself.

An independent, family owned champagne house, Laurent-Perrier is renowned world wide for blending the finest grapes and vintages to produce a range of superb champagnes.
